24-28 Feb 2020 at Buddhist Retreat Center in KZN, South Africa.
Connect with yourself, explore the healing power of nature and let your body return to the way of nature.
Experience inner harmony through wholeness of body, mind, food, and soul.
you'll wonder why you don't live this way everyday...
You were born to live at peace and with purpose. You already know how.
Somewhere along the way, you may have lost the ability to tune in to self-healing abilities, your self-soothing inner blueprints,
It's as a result of stress, trauma, or living life behind a desk or machine.
Leaving you with chronic pain, stiffness, exhaustion, lack of sleep and struggling to live well in everyday life.
Let SomaSensing™ reconnect you to your true nature.

Release, Reconnect, Revitalise
Just like learning to drive a car or learning a new language, we learn patterns of emotions and beliefs that shape us.
These patterns often lead to a disconnection from our true self.
This reflects in our body in how we embody emotional patterns.
Fascia, our connective tissue, embedded with billions of nerve receptors is the largest sensory tissue in the body and our fabric of embodiment.
To unlearn, to re-pattern and to shift, happens in the nervous system.
You can reshape the body and reshape the mind.
Described as ....
“the kindest way to heal your body”
“self-soothing and self nurturing”
“movements for your mind”
“Like an inner massage for body and mind”
“An inner retreat that you can access at any time”
“I feel like I’m unwinding emotional stress”

Who is this for?
Anyone who...
has been told their condition is incurable or due to weak muscles
wants to rediscover true self, and what it means to be embodied.
wants to awaken sense of purpose and enhance vitality.
seeks insights to unlock healing within
struggles with pain, discomfort and inflammation
It's especially for those who feel that there are easier ways to get healthy, manage stress and feel at peace without having to push the body to exercise hard, to deprive yourself from delicious food, take medication or to practice hours of meditation.
The retreat experience

Learn how expansion naturally allows for self-stabilizing
Explore the inner rhythm
The gut-brain dynamic deepened and the principles to health.
Nutrition, discussing a wholefoods whole person approach.
Toning the Vagus nerve – stimulate gut-brain axis optimally
Explore SomaSensing Yawning – fascial unwinding and hydration, while restoring the nervous system

The Retreat Space
Our favorite special place... Perched on a ridge overlooking a lush picturesque valley in the Umkomaas river system in KwaZulu-Natal, the well-established Buddhist retreat Centre has been drawing people of all walks, for more than twenty five years to experience a place designed for peace contemplation and tranquility. It has a humbling timeless air about it where one can be still and get in touch with oneself and reflect on the things that crowd one's life. CNN featured the BRC as one of the 10 best Meditation centers in the world and was declared a Natural Heritage Site by former President Nelson Mandela.

What others have experienced...
What brought me here is trying to understand a deeper self. Now that I’ve experienced the wholeness, I’m feeling quite emotional about it. I just feel that this is the right thing to do. Everything I’ve done before has been superficial.

From fitness to oneness
Body as mind
Before discovering these inner blueprints I spent years learning about Anatomy and the body as a mechanism made up of parts. Exploring what mechanism or spinal pathology was causing back, neck, shoulder or pelvic pain. Or what individual muscle or group of muscles were responsible for poor posture or misalignment.
As a human being I’m sure you have some experience of this too.
I was disconnected. Separating the body from the mind.
I taught Pilates for movement rehabilitation, posture and pain relief.
Yoga offered a movement repertoire for stress relief and emotional wellbeing.
Pilates and yoga are great but if you’re looking for a simple, effortless and whole person approach to healing then you’re in the right place!

Cat’s and dogs don’t stretch, they pandiculate, so why don’t we?
Tune in to this revitalising, fascia hydrating movement blueprint.
The SomaSensing™ way.
Pandiculation, that early morning stretch and yawn is one of those revitalising, embodied movements. Dogs, cat’s and all mammals have this innate blueprint. Nature’s way of restoring suppleness and wellbeing. It’s better than any form of stretching, including Yoga. According to fascia experts, it’s one of the best ways to rehydrate fascia, your connective tissue.
You can pandiculate anywhere, everywhere and in any moment to...
Unwind stress related stiffness
Relieve pain
Heal from trauma
Revitalise body and mind

Yasmin Lambat
Hi, I'm your host Yasmin Lambat, the founder of SomaSensing™. I am a somatic trauma-informed therapist and Registered Somatic Movement Educator (RSME).
Placing the body at the heart of healing has become my calling.
My early experience with the body began with a “nuts and bolts” approach to chronic pain. A mechanical approach focusing on postural alignment, core strengthening exercises and Yoga for flexibility. Until I was introduced to Feldenkrais and other somatic practices. Since then I have spent the last 15 years in somatic exploration. Devoted to finding the missing link between pain and emotion, the body/mind connection and what makes us whole. Using motion to heal motion.

In gratitude to those who inspire me with their inner wisdom.
The clients, friends, teachers, students and people I meet along my path.
